Sr. High Program

sponsored by the Rotary Club of Stampede Park and CHAS

Program Description

PREP’s Teen Program is uniquely designed to meet the social, emotional, and developmental needs of teens with Down syndrome in Sr. High. This multidisciplinary program utilizes a group based therapy approach that incorporates a wide range of resources and strategies to develop our teens’ independence, social communication, executive functioning, and self-advocacy skills. Working with an educator, therapy assistant, speech-language pathologist, and occupational therapist, PREP has developed a robust program that is designed to meet the individual needs of our students while giving them the skills required to transition successfully into adulthood. This is a bi-weekly program that runs from September to June and includes 18 classes as well as opportunities for teens to practice their skills out in the community through our Teens on the Go program.
